The newly created position reflects PPL’s commitment to creating technology-enabled utilities of the future. Del Vecchio will be responsible for driving digital transformation and leveraging advances in technology, automation, artificial intelligence, and data analytics to deliver clean energy efficiently and affordably for customers. Del Vecchio has extensive experience in digital transformation and bringing traditional industries into the digital age. Prior to joining PPL, he served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Information and Operations Officer for The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. Del Vecchio will report directly to PPL President and CEO Vincent Sorgi.
